Bailey made her first drawing at the age of two. As a kid she liked to sing and dance, but she always cherished a special love for the visual arts. At home she was often encouraged to follow her dreams; memories of drawing and painting as a child stick with her.
Bailey started creating portraits for family and friends when she was about 10. Selling art became a part of her life as she produced more work, and Bailey had sold a number of pieces by the time she was a teenager. After showing more interest at school, she took private lessons with a local artist and began to understand the significance of getting out of her comfort zone.
Throughout her schooling, there were periods of time where Bailey held back and disconnected from her art. However, she always found her way back to creating because it feels like home to her. “Art has helped me cope with challenges and become a better problem solver. It also gave me confidence when I couldn’t see it for myself.” — Bailey
Now, her focus is creating and teaching art to uplift and inspire others. She enjoys painting nature’s beauty and its’ lively essence. In her work, Bailey depicts the harmonious coexistence of gracious animals and peaceful women, expressing warmth and tenderness of the heart. On her journey to share the beauty she sees through art, Bailey invites viewers to imagine themselves in the worlds she creates.
Aside from creating, Bailey is also an art instructor. She teaches private lessons, after-school classes, and leisure learning courses at the University of New Brunswick.
