Bailey made her first drawing at the age of two. As a kid she liked to sing and dance, but she always cherished a special love for the visual arts. At home she was often encouraged to follow her dreams; memories of drawing and painting as a child stick with her.
Bailey started creating portraits for family and friends when she was about 10. Selling art became a part of her life as she produced more work, and Bailey had sold a number of pieces by the time she was a teenager. After showing more interest at school, she started taking lessons with a local artist where she began to understand the significance of getting out of her comfort zone.
Throughout her schooling, there were long periods of time where Bailey gave in to fear, held back and disconnected from her creativity. She took lots of time away from art to focus on herself, however, she always found her way back because it feels like home to her.
The heart-felt responses she has received from customers are a big source of encouragement for Bailey. She believes that while nothing is perfect in life, everyone has their own unique power that can bring something exceptional to our world. Bailey depicts this in her art by pairing lifelike people and animals with vibrantly painted abstract backgrounds and elements.
Bailey lives in Fredericton, NB and she is 22 years old. Aside from creating artwork, she teaches art— private lessons, after school classes, and leisure learning courses at the University of New Brunswick.
