Bailey always loved to draw. Around age 10, she started creating portraits for family and friends. Selling art became a part of her life as she produced more work, and Bailey had sold a number of pieces by the time she was a teenager. She took private lessons with a local artist exploring watercolour, oil painting, traditional sketching techniques and more.
As she grew up commission work continued, but Bailey didn’t consider a profession as a self-employed artist. However, the more she created, the more necessary it felt for her sanity. “Creating has helped me cope with challenges and become a better problem solver. It also gave me confidence when I couldn’t see it for myself.” — Bailey
With a portfolio spanning from richly detailed pencil portraits to luminous, expressive paintings, Bailey's works celebrate the beauty of people, animals and the natural world. Whether working in pencil, acrylic or oil, her pieces invite viewers into a world where realism meets creative storytelling.
Bailey is a 25 year old visual artist from the maritimes who has been selling her portraits for 15 years. Aside from creating, Bailey is also an art instructor. She teaches private lessons and has guided paint and sip events, leisure learning courses at UNB, and after school art classes with elementary students.
